Situated besides Elgin Library, the STEM Starts Discovery Centre hosts specialist exhibits, interactive displays and creative play zones primarily for children in their early and primary school years.
The centre, which has been created in collaboration with Glasgow Science Centre and Unusual Projects, will help to engage young children from an early age in science concepts and learning, in a way that is accessible, inclusive and fun.
A visit will also include time to explore our exhibition space where children will be free to play with our hands on exhibits themed around Morays key growth sectors.
School visits run from 10am until 2pm, where we can accommodate up to xx children a day.
We have developed some WOW workshops to inspire our young learners and are available when they visit the STEM Starts Discover Centre.
Workshops can be requested as part of your visit to a STEM Starts centre.
A visit to the STEM STARTS centre will include a one hour interactive workshop delivered in our classroom space. We have 4 bespoke workshops available that have been developed by our strategic partner Glasgow Science Centre, and that are themed around life and work in Moray.
